Katherine Gulmert has been licensed to practice law in Washington State since 1998 and has worked in Private practice since 2013.
Prior to entering into private practice, Ms. Gulmert worked for Gray Harbor County Prosecutor’s office District Court division and subsequently the City of Aberdeen prosecution municipal court. Ms. Gulmert then moved to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s office, Felony division, followed by a term in Jefferson County as Chief Criminal Deputy where she actively tried Felony Drug, Sexual Assaults, and Violent Felonies. She also served as County Coroner before accepting a position with the Cowlitz County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she continued with felony prosecutions, adult and juvenile, further expanding into the civil arena of Mental Health hearings, and Support Enforcement. She was also contracted with Cowlitz County Wahkiakum Legal Aid to support issues regarding Veterans and has been licensed to practice in Federal Court, Western District since 2013.
Ms. Gulmert currently confines her practice to Adoptions, Criminal Defense, Elder Law, Mental Health, and Guardian Ad Litem appointments for Cowlitz County.
